What’s the deal with the name: Do Walk on the Grass?

Growing up, we all saw signs posted in yards and parks urging you to “stay off the grass!”

To “keep away!”

“Do not walk on the grass.”

I can see the scene in The Princess Diaries where a voice yells at Mia Thermopolis saying, “Keep off the grass!”

But isn’t grass meant to be walked on? And to be enjoyed and run through and skipped upon?

I firmly believe it is.

So here, that’s exactly what we do. Find the unwalked grass and tread upon it confidently, knowing there is much to be gained when we go outside and see our world for all of the beauty and heartbreak and joy that it is.
